Re: A second wave in the making?

It's been reported on Twitter that one of the BLM protestors has been infected with the Covid-19 virus. Can't say that I'm sympathetic because I am not. Serves them bloody right if more come down with the virus for ignoring the distancing rules.

Greater Manchester illegal raves: Man dies, woman raped and three stabbed

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan...ester-53040827

7,000 people flocked to Daisy Nook Country Park and Carrington in Greater Manchester late on Saturday.

The man at the country park died of a suspected drug overdose and the stabbings and the attack on an 18-year-old woman took place in Carrington.

Police were present as scores of young people made their way to the Carrington area rave
Illegal .....

It seems that, if there's enough of them, morons can get away with anything .....

Hi

Lockdown and social distancing has now become a Joke.

It is only us oldies and the sensible ones sticking to it.

Re: A second wave in the making?

Has it all been for nothing?
There should be a spike in cases by now if the protest marches are anything to go by .

Has the threat v from Covid-19, been over estimated ?

Has all the social distancing been a waste of time ?

With the evidence of these protest marches ( where suddenly all rules were ignored by public and police ) it would seem so .

Spikes won’t have had time to develop but at the moment there will probably be hundreds of people incubating the virus , while asymptomatic at the moment.

Not forgetting also that some people are not too badly affected by the virus, others are. Also, I think it's up to two weeks, for symptoms to show themselves. Or rather morbidly I know, but under the circumstances of what's happening right now, that it also takes time for treatment to fail resulting in fatalities.

Give all this a month to six weeks and sadly, as much as I hope not, there might then be reason to believe that thoughts now of a further spike, were correct.

Hi

We need an effective Track and Trace to handle a second wave.

We have not got one.

China have their second wave according to the news this lunch time. They have isolated the area it happened in. Cancelled all flights too. Let's hope no one escaped before they did that.
