I think family play a key part in building up their child’s confidence.

It needs to be balanced...as nobody likes an over confident child.

Even less an adult.

Can self confidence be taught? Or are they stuck with what they've got?
I wouldn't worry about the shy ones Tedc. They may not be leaders, but they may channel their talents into something more rewarding.

Bullying, at school, and maybe after, is a big player in this.

Personally, I was somewhat big and thick.

Anyone bullied me and I gave them a little lesson. (not always violent).

But some of my GG daughters have had a bad time at school .

Teachers did nowt.


A couple of years, and a change of some other students, and all changed for the better.
