The old Manchester Guardian was for Champagne socialists too. It was never what I'd call a workingman's paper.

IIRC a few months ago there was mention that the Grauniad was losing that much money, its Board of Directors was thinking about reverting to its old name of The Manchester Guardian and returning to its roots in M/cr.
