Friends

Can someone explain what all this 'friends' stuff is about?
I sometimes have a look at a persons profile to see who I am talking to, and see that most people have a list of friends.

I have now been on this forum for over a year and haven't got any friends.....
Is it me?
Is it my Avatar?
Or am I just an unpleasant boring get that nobody wants to associate with?

It could be that you write a diary on here and have a lot of people who follow your wereabouts on your travels reading it. I assume they think your never around long enough to chat and have friends. You can choose friends too you know, i could be your friend with Myrtle

That could have been down to the name change from Paul to LePetomaine which may have been enough to put any sane person off

Hi Rhian ... Once you have qualified for the PM facility you can message any member who is eligible to receive messages .... unless they have chosen not to 😊

Rhian you can PM anyone who chooses to receive them once you have qualified by being a member for a certain length of time.

The advantage of having people on your friends list with regard to sending PMs is you have fast access to them , you don't need to look them up

OGF remember you can always request someone to be your friend , that is why some people have a long list

I no longer accept friends requests but used to when we had just a few members.
With regard to PMing, as a member I don't like the PM system, I think it encouraged people to gossip about other members and I don't like gossip.
