I'm afraid I intend to use them a lot Spitty, I find them useful in the absence of facial expressions and body language, I'm one who uses facial expressions a lot to express myself and you have to see my body language to appreciate and understand it, especially on the dance floor, I was once told "You move like a Summer cloud in a gentle breeze" Although I have no Native American blood in me I was known in the local dance hall as "Summer Cloud"
Emoticons help avoid misunderstandings in my opinion, indeed I have seen posts on here stating "Well how was I to know you were only talking tongue in cheek?"
