Since I already live abroad, I have to say I'm quite happy where I am, but I admit I miss certain aspects of living in Africa. The wild life there heads the list, the cheery shouts over the wall in the mornings of the locals going off to do whatever they did during the daytime. There's also much of Africa I don't miss, but for us, here is as good as it gets.

I prefer the UK but I would not mind Australia, be great to be able to afford to live there for six months there and six months here

I do already live abroad, have lived in Bavaria for over 45years and like the lifestyle here but did fall in love with New Zealand a few years ago and looked into moving there. Unfortunately like other Commonwealth countries we oldies aren't wanted, unless extremely rich. I even found the perfect place in New Zealand, the small town of Wanaka on the South island, but not to be.

I remember seeing Wanaka in the Autumn time and it was stunning with the trees and the lake

Yes, me too! Primus. I used to go to Seaview, near Ryde, every year on holiday and l loved it!

If it was somewhere abroad, l would choose France for their lovely food and wine!

I know the iow isn't abroad, but you try walking there..
