In fact, considering all things at the moment, I feel a national ban on all protests should have been introduced a while back .

All this encourages is bad feeling where there used to be tolerance and understanding. I believe anarchy is beginning to take hold in this country.

The right to protest is a fundamental element of democracy. Of course people do not like it if it doesn't represent their views but that is how democracy works. We don't all agree and we have a right to say so. The alternative is North Korea.

Protesting is one thing Annie, but when they start to pull down statues and organise themselves into a paramilitary anarchist movement it goes beyond the rules...
Where does protest end and anarchy begin?

Good grief! It's going to be detrimental to the way of life of everyone in the UK who leads a decent way of life!

Now with the emergence of the FF filth it's going to make a bad situation very much worse.

This ANTIFA funded and supported Marxist & Socialist scum are LITERALLY enemies of the State.

The way to express dissatisfaction within a democracy is not active dissension, it is at the ballot box or public meetings at most.

There is no expressed or implied right to engage in hostile protest or rioting which is what the scum hiding behind the BLM banner have been doing and continue to do.

That is not protest, it is the onset of anarchy and the result of anarch is a totalitarian state emerges.

"Detrimental to the way of life of everyone" - how so?

I've never been to a protest but various groups have been protesting all my life. There are always protests but then we are meant to have a democratic system here. I've yet to see how my life has been detrimentally affected.

Some have more publicity in the press than others. They had all those people living in tents at Westminster for a while and then we had the Greenham Common women when I was a teen.

You cannot pick and choose your protests because that is not how it works!

Is it a move towards a more egalitarian society that you are worried about?

It is the move away from a meritocracy that I'm worried about.

That and the support of terrorism acting against democracy.

I can't see how one small protest in South London by a splinter group is going to change the world. It's a headliner because it's clickbait. Amazingly effective journalistic propaganda.

Because it is NOT what you describe. It is a VERY dangerous escalation in the attack now taking place on Western CIVILISATION.

For the most part, those protests though vociferous were peaceful, they didn't leave a trail of destruction and damage, nor did they loot shops, assault and terrorise people with an alternate view, attack and harm cops, vandalise and desecrate cenotaphs or spray graffiti on the graves of the departed.

BLM and ER have been taken over by left-wing Marxist thugs with their own agendas.
