I wouldn't be picking up anything that could have Coronavirus on it and I feel sorry for Council street cleaners who have to do so. The people who throw masks away are just as much scum as dog owners who pick their dog shit up in those little black bags then throw the bag away when no-one is looking.

I have this tong things that you can use to pick up stuff so if I had those on me, say it was in my front garden then yes I would tong it up & put it in the rubbish bin. If outdoors then I would leave it where it was, but maybe if in a supermarket car park tell a staff security person about it.
