Public Displays Of Affection..... Get A Room!!

You are in a public place, a street, supermarket, pub etc and you see a couple, either kissing, cuddling or stroking each other. Does it bother you? Are you embarrassed and feel uncomfortable? Do you want to say, ‘Get A Room’?

So l ask, What is an acceptable display of affection in public?

Kissing, stroking, holding hands is fine, except I wish I had someone to do it with

I can't say I have ever seen anything else more intimate.

I don't like to see people snogging and touching each other sexually in public, it makes me feel uncomfortable. I wouldn't ever have done it in public and I don't know why people feel the need really. It's a private thing between a couple. Time and place and all that jazz.

I don't mind hugs in public just not intimate stuff.

I don't see it very often and, if I see somebody hugging, holding hands or kissing I think it is nice. If they are doing anything more,. in public, I tend to look away!

Sadly though, I do think that the more daring people behave in public & we ignore it, then it isn't surprising that it eventually becomes normal behavior.

A kiss and a hug in public don't bother me, as long as I am not on the receiving end.

It doesn't bother me. I'm so used to seeing it. I'm just uncomfortable if it is two guys.

I think it's nice seeing couples kissing and holding hands in public. I just wish I had someone in my life to do that with.
You are reaffirming your feelings for each other plus showing the world how you both feel about each other.
I think there's nothing worse than seeing a couple out together, not speaking or touching just sitting there.

Nothing wrong in couples holding hands, or a gentle kiss, or hug, i still like to see older couples doing this. But full on snogging, nein danke.

I don't see why if someone wants to give their partner a kiss, they should have to creep about behind closed doors as if they are doing something unnatural.
