In other words, please EU, keep us in your circle. We need you harder than you need us.
The most stupid thing I've seen you post. An EU army is the last thing anyone needs. The military has to stay separate from the EU model. This was decided back in the 50s. France were sensible enough to say Non.

Sean bean's older and lesser known brother?

Anyway an EU army would lead to the disintegration of the whole organisation.

Denmark, Malta and UK remain outside of PESCO.

Only participating Member States will have decision making rights with regard to PESCO. Those State which remain outside of the mechanism will have no powers or voting rights over projects or the future strategic direction of the initiative

Any capabilities and assets developed under PESCO will remain under the ownership and control of the participating EU Member States and will be made available to NATO and UN operations. It will not give the EU control over individual nations’ armed forces, including the UK.

Like I stated, the source is the house of commons library, see provided link.
Perhaps a read of the lisbon treaty would help too.

SECTION 2

PROVISIONS ON THE COMMON SECURITY AND DEFENCE POLICY

Article 42

(ex Article 17 TEU)

1. The common security and defence policy shall be an integral part of the common foreign and security policy. It shall provide the Union with an operational capacity drawing on civilian and military assets. The Union may use them on missions outside the Union for peace-keeping, conflict prevention and strengthening international security in accordance with the principles of the United Nations Charter. The performance of these tasks shall be undertaken using capabilities provided by the Member States.

There seems to be substantial similarities raised by Lord James in the Lords.

The bottom line is, if the UK military and all things connected are removed and controlled by the EU,, our Queen might then have to abdicate.

Your ad lib is not in the commons library or the lisbon treaty. Who gives a flying waffle what some guy here thinks? There are many opinions here and the political situation we have is not permanent. Fact is that trying to muscle in an EU army would lead to the very quick collapse of the EU. So anyone thinking of that as an EU strategy has to be thick as two short planks. The EU security option was in the original two treaties. But France rejected the security option. I'm sure it's appealing to some but the fact that it's in a treaty does not mean it will pass. Or that the EU will survive it. Great trolling though!

The consolidated version. Just use "search on page" with "military". Have fun reading. https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-cont...3A12012M%2FTXT
