The other important thing is secrecy. YOu have to keep a safe safe. Simply don't tell anybody about it apart from somebody you trust with your life. But I think a safe is definitely the go.

I.have a pal who stashed a lot of money around his house problem was they changed the bank notes. It was so funny he had to keep trotting to the bank to change them before they were not legal.... he couldn't take them all at the same time it would have been suspicious and looked like money laundering.

So funny I don't think he ever got it all changed.
