I've never heard of that term, but it seems to be popular all over the world:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knock,_Knock,_Ginger

We called it just what it is:

knocking on the door and running away.

You could still do that if you wanted to JBR. Maybe not run, but walk away quickly.

Re: Do You Ever Miss ‘How it Used To Be’?

I can't say I miss how things used to be, but I do miss not being younger - say 40 years younger. I wouldn't want to go back to my childhood days, even though I have fond memories of some of the time. IMO if you are fortunate, life is much better these days for most ages. I struggle with some of the reasoning behind some things people do these days, but generally I can still keep up, although I admit a lot of the technical stuff leaves me standing. Do people really change that much from generation to generation. We still want similar things (although now we have moved along a bit and become more demanding and sophisticated in what we want or need). I tend to think that many of the problems that beset folks years ago still remain to worry us today.

Not so much the times but I miss the people. We seem to have lost too many people.

Yes Julie, I can understand that.
People we've lost, and pets who were dear to us too.
If only we could have them all back ey.
