Art why not look in a breed rescue or hereRe: Why Are Mongrels So Expensive?
Awww Arty, you would love Bichons, they are of the poodle family, curly haired and don't moult. Bichons are such funny, comical and hilarious little buggers and have some real funny traits. I adore my Kodi, he can be a stubborn little sod at times but he's adorable. Kodi is 12 now and I'm starting to realise how old he is becoming, I can't bear to think of life without him but obviously one day that will happen. I'd definitely have another bichon, I keep saying I wish we had two but John doesn't want two so I didn't go on about it.Re: Why Are Mongrels So Expensive?

This so surprising to hear these comments. I stress I have never been a pet owner in the UK. Never even looked after a pet when I was there. But "mongrels" and mix breed dogs are very popular here. Many of them are Aust cattle/ Lab mixed with other breeds which seems to be a really good combination. Unless of course there's dingo or some other tearaway breed there. You can usually tell if there's dingo because they are very aloof and hard to socialise. The breed we had got the intelligence and boundless energy from the cattle and the gentleness of the lab. That was our last dog and he was a total gem. Our current little guy is a similar mix although he has staffy and Huntaway as well. They were both rescue dogs and both cost us under $500 with all shots, desexing and other stuff squared away. The other side of the coin is that pet ownership rules are pretty strict here. No knowledge of those in UK.Re: Why Are Mongrels So Expensive?
Art, these cross breeds are so expensive because people keep buying them!
