Strangely i suggested something like this to my Local wildlife trust many years ago, i called it Plant a Tree in Me. To create a reserve around deliberately planted trees as a place of quiet contemplation and communing with nature. It was received well by the trust.

I would like to think my remains could be used for something other than landfill.

I think it's a lovely idea and would mean I'd take up little space and help the environment. Quite fancy a silver birch, slim and beautiful (unlike now) or a holly bush or spruce so people could use it at Xmas.

watched a doco recently where people chose to be buried in the woods or forest in the spot they liked - didn't seem to cause to many logistic or legal problems - not sure which country it was I watch so many global things - must start keeping a diary again! - ah now's there a thought!
