What's the Difference Between......

these types of music? I'd like to know if anyone knowledgeable can really explain. Thanks

Calypso is different to the rest you have listed in style and the lyrics tell a story ....
Bossa Nova and Samba seem very much the same to me - smooth feel,
Mambo - a little faster, not heard of Soca
Someone will be better informed ......

Well I dance the Bossa Nova, Mambo and Samba and all the music has a different beat/rhythm but I wouldn't know how to explain the difference
