What Items Would You Be Too Embarrassed To Buy Over The Counter?

Here is a list of the top items some people feel embarrassed buying over the counter..

Head Lice Shampoo
Anti-Fungal medications and Foot Powders
Viagra, Condoms and Personal Products
Suppositories, Laxatives and Anti-Diarrhoea medications
Large quantities of Alcohol
Hemorrhoid Creams
Rogaine? and certain hair products
Anything purchased in coins/change.

There was no mention of sex toys!!

Is there anything you’d feel embarrassed buying over the counter? Do you have a tale to tell?
Funny replies are very welcome

Oooh, Monday, l could do with the two handed toe nail clippers to carve into my parrot beak type nail, that’s next to my baby piggy toe!
It is so awful, l would die if l had to show it to anyone!
A slap of nail varnish disguises it slightly!! Ha!!

When I was about 16, I plucked up the courage to buy some condoms from my local chemist. I took a deep breath, walked in and asked for 'A packet of...... you know.'

Luckily, the woman knew exactly what I wanted.

I remember 45 years ago when l was having my first baby, l had to pack a bag for my admission to the maternity ward.
It stated, l needed to bring with me some Dr Whites maternity sanitary pads that were really, really thick.
No way, was l going to go in the chemist to buy them, so l made my husband get them!

It’s funny how embarrassed you are at a young age! These days, l wouldn’t bat an eyelid!

Nothing really ... but I do pull my hood up and keep my head down now when going to the fag counter.

Who remembers the time when ST's were sold wrapped in brown paper parcels and magically appeared from under the counter ?
Kids go in with a note from their mother and given a brown paper parcel.... intrigue must have outweighed the 3p for sweets on the way home.

I think as we get older we care less about things like that - in fact it's expected of us really. I'm sure whatever I ask for in Boots, someone has asked for much worse.

Puddle, I remember people washing pieces of rags they used for that purpose and pegged them out on the washing line to dry!

Not a pretty sight on a windy day!!

That was lucky ... my elder brother used to think they were called Doc Marten's until I put him straight one day.
