You may see them when driving around rural farming areas. You can also see them on the back of trucks being moved around the state or even around the country.
Wherever they are, hay bales are an essential part of food security for livestock. Once they're cut and baled, they normally don't stay long. When a photograph presents itself, you'd better take it otherwise they might not be there tomorrow.
I came across these when driving back home after an early morning landscape shoot. In the early morning light, the gold of the stubble and bales stood out against an almost clear blue sky. I had to grab this photo.
