A complete disaster. 20 minute late..

Re: Airport Run.

I did hear about the man who wanted to go up the M6 but found it too busy. So he went up the M3 twice instead

Re: Airport Run.

My airport is an hour away through traffic and countless badly timed traffic lights.

The problem isn't getting to the airport, it's getting anywhere after you get to the airport. Despite its "international" designation, flights only seem to depart for three or four cities. In the time it takes to make a connection or two, it would have been just as fast to drive, and you get to be the captain of your own transportation machine .

Now as for shut down highways, that's a daily occurrence here too. When too many people, driving too fast, are driving too close, bad things are bound to happen.

Re: Airport Run.

Don't laugh I read that and thought why was he on the M6 you need the M25 to get to the airport, then I realised not everyone is lucky enough to live near that monstrosity. If you want a long journey you join the car park locally known as the M25. That's one thing my husband doesn't miss having stopped working that daily drive to heathrow that usually turned into a nightmare driving along at 2 miles an hour.

As a courier I used to visit Heathrow and Gatwick on a regular basis. A sandwich and a bottle to pee in were essential equipment....

Re: Airport Run.

Hi

The official pick up at Birmingham is a minimum of £5.10p, which is a rip off.

I collected them from Drop Off, which is free,

Yes my husband always carried a bottle. Sadly many not like him who always brought it home to throw away seem to leave those bottles at traffic lights or in laybys, disgusting habit IMO

Swimmy, Aye? £5.10p? I use this drop off area near the Departure and Arrivals building at Birmingham Airport a lot and it’s £2 for 10 minutes.
The free drop off area is a bit of a walk away from there.

Where on earth are you parking, in the short stay multi storey car park?
