Re: The irony of all ironies???

Hi

The matter was brought before the Courts by a group of Scottish Remainers and then referred by our Courts.

It was not brought by the EU, that is just False News.

The EU has accepted that we are leaving and have moved on.

We are the idiots ripping ourselves to pieces.

I am of the belief EU is very much in league with remain, so many have dashed across the sea to see them, trying to meddle and stop us leaving. So to say EU were involved wouldn't surprise me at all.

Re: The irony of all ironies???

I seem to remember some time ago the EU dictators, hearing about our winning the referendum, glibly announcing that they don't care if we leave and wishing we'd just go.

The truth is now out. They are extremely worried that we are leaving, and understandably so. None of the other 27 countries want to pay more to make up for the shortfall when we leave, so they're becoming increasingly worried about where the money is going to come from!

As some have said, Brexit could well cause the downfall of the EU empire.

None of you have appreciated the subtelty of this court case. If the ECJ rule in favour of the applicants, it means that everything relating to Brexit for the past two years is null and void, up and including TM's letter invoking article 50. Therefore if we wish to leave the EU, we need to start all over again.

Hi

I disagree, Article 50 has been accepted by the EU, end of story.

The case is about whether or not the decision is reversible.

Hi

Why are they worried?

They have a net shortfall of around £8 Billion a year.

They will more than make that up from the Tax we lose and they gain from Euro Clearing.

The EU have not been ripping themselves apart unlike us.

Complete nonsense! What you describe is the train of events that might occur if it is proven the the referendum proces was manipulated by that business man. That would render the referendum void and your government might revoke article 50.
