Growing Brexit Rebellion Forces Theresa May To Shelve Launch Of NHS 10-Year Plan

Great news, now Brexit is taking over from business as usual to the extent that the NHS plan announced in the budget may be put on ice if May's deal loses. This is a signal that promised money will be withheld if the deal is voted down. The NHS will end up short changed and services will suffer far more than they are already suffering.

Anyone who thinks this is not a complete mess and a good thing to happen put your hand up.

Of course it's a mess no one is saying it isn't, it didn't need to be one though that's the real point. She could have had a cross party committee to do brexit and carried on normal governance herself. But no she had to pretend she was a leaver and cause absolute chaos.

Was the NHS not already not a total mess before the referendum?

Seems to me that this is another Remainer Brain Washing attempt - Was Hammond behind it?

I agree, Julie. She has dragged her feet all the way through this, hoping that we would all get fed up and want to revert back to staying in the EU. I feel sure that big industries are controlling her.

Why did she take the first offer? You never accept the first offer! With this offer, the EU will still control us.

As for the NHS plan being put on ice, this is nothing but blackmail and spitefulness.

My Bold.

Considering that Hammond has been in charge of finance for some years, don't you think that this threat to the NHS is down to the way he's been managing the money?

Could we not, also, say that we have massive problems in Policing, (not enough money), Council Spending (not enough money), Education (not enough money), Defence (not enough Money.)

All of these worries and they were all too real before the Referendum happened.

Put your hand up if you blame the Government for all this financial mis-management.

I'm amazed that Hammond has the gall to use Brexit as his excuse!

They have a cross party select committee dealing with Brexit details chaired by Hilary Benn.

If you believe TM is allowing them any part in all this you are quite crazy Annie. It's the TM show no one else gets a look in.

Re: Growing Brexit Rebellion Forces Theresa May To Shelve Launch Of NHS 10-Year Plan

If this was in the board room, of a very large company, and the Treasurer wandered in to tell us that he/she would not be able to fund the major changes which the company had known about for two full years, because he/she had not put a plan in place to deal with the assumed consequences, what would we, the board, be saying?

1) Oh, that's all right, Philip - don't worry?

2) Well, it might not happen, anyway.

3) Get your cards, clear your desk, goodbye!

But then, the Government does not have to be run like a business, does not have to please its Customers.
