I met this handsome chap today!

Had lunch with friends and was introduced to their new puppy - Harley - isn't he a cutie!

4 - 5 months I think, Mups. They brought him home at the beginning of November and he was 10 weeks then - the breeder doesn't let her pups go any earlier.

He came with his own little teddy bear - the breeder gives every pup a teddy when they leave - she puts them in with the mother for a few days first so they pick up her smell and are a comfort to the pups in their new home. Isn't that a lovely idea.

Yes it is a lovely idea Tabs. It hopefully helps the pup settle first night away from Mum and siblings.
I used to do the same for my pups, though not a teddy.

Sometimes I think people don't give it much thought that it is the first time these wee ones have ever slept alone.
It must be scary for them when they wake during the night and everything familiar has gone and they are alone in strange place.
No wonder they often cry at first is it.

Like his festive jumper.
