Tax breaks if you adopt a dog

Im not sure this is the best way forward for the dog , some one who could get one just for the tax benefit and ill treat it ..
not getting one for the right reasons is my opinion.

What do you think ?

Wouldn't work here too many people hate dogs, they don't like giving their taxes to people with children so they definitely won't give to dogs.

I think it is a bad idea because it could encourage people to take a dog for the wrong reasons and enough people do that already...

Lot more better ways to spend our taxes at the moment, once the books a re balanced, people homed and work available then and only then start looking to do these sort of things.

Re: Tax breaks if you adopt a dog

I don't know what to make of that, might work out if the owners were fully checked out and had other well looked after dogs in their care, I'm sure they could do with some tax relief, though the cost of doing that might outweigh the benefits. Then again it's open to abuse and there are plenty out there only too glad to take advantage and to hell with the dog. I just don't know, it's hard to make anything abuse proof.
