Spoke to Parker Knoll salesman, the loops were on their sofas as well, apparently the manufacturing company hold the legs of the sofa on with this loop,as the department store has to put them on,obviously before selling,(in other words it's delivered to them with no legs,it serves no purpose,so he said you can cut them off,..
Well, I'm glad the mystery's solved - I was thinking of ordering a loop in case I needed one .....
Brilliant, thanks Pauline, mystery solved. That means I can cut them off now because they always get sucked up the pipe when I'm vacuuming them, hoovering up all me old bits of crisps and nuts.
Thanks for asking them.
LD, shock, horror, you do the hoovering!?? Don't you know that's women's work!! Right, I'm just off to prepare for the latest version of Death Wish.
