Doesn't he live in Skye?

Re: Coronavirus: Dominic Cummings visited parents' home while he had symptoms

Inconsistencies between Cummings’ lockdown story and his wife’s

https://www.theguardian.com/politics...-and-his-wifes

On Monday, Dominic Cummings finally gave an account of his trip to Durham during lockdown – more than a month after his wife, Mary Wakefield, wrote about their experiences of lockdown for the Spectator magazine.

The two versions are not entirely consistent. An analysis of their stories, together with eyewitness accounts, throws up questions and peculiarities that are yet to be resolved.

Friday 27 March

By Cummings’ account, his wife fell ill during the day, prompting him to rush home from No 10 to take care of her. He then returned to the office, despite having spent time with someone he strongly suspected to have coronavirus. They drove to Durham that evening, and he developed symptoms himself overnight.

But in Wakefield’s article, she wrote: “That evening as I lay on the sofa, a happy thought occurred to me: if this was the virus, then my husband, who works 16-hour days as a rule, would have to come home.”

By her husband’s recollection, he had already been home. And why did Cummings return to the office after spending time with his symptomatic wife?

2/3 April

Wakefield wrote that “day six is a turning point”, when her husband was having such difficulty breathing that she feared he should be in hospital. Day six of her account would appear to be Thursday 2 April.

Yet according to Cummings, the following day he was well enough to drive to hospital to pick up their son, who had been taken ill the night before.
Sunday 12 April

In Wakefield’s account of the family’s time in quarantine, she described a range of unusual and varying symptoms that people with coronavirus may experience. She referred to her own headaches, others’ “numbness in their fingertips”, and Cummings’ “spasms”. No mention, though, of problems with her husband’s eyesight.

Yet this was the reason Cummings gave for taking a “test drive” to Barnard Castle, a town almost 30 miles away, before returning to London. He said he had taken his wife and son “for a short drive” on Easter Sunday – Wakefield’s birthday – “to see if I could drive safely”.

Why did the couple conclude that the best way to test his eyesight was to take a trip that would have involved using a busy A-road?

Cummings also said the family went to the “outskirts” of Barnard Castle. But the location where they were seen, next to the River Tees between Ullathorne Rise and Gill Lane, is on the far side of the town from the Cummings family property, and is close to a considerable number of homes.

Why did they end up here on a drive designed simply to test whether it was safe for him to take the wheel?
Their son was ill enough to be in hospital on 2nd April ..... what was the nature of his illness .....

Who took him to hospital from an infected household .....

Were the hospital staff informed that his parents were infected .....

Did Cummings rise from a COVID-19 sickbed and drive to a hospital to collect his son without informing without the hospital staff of his infection .....

If Cummings' eyegight was good enough to drive on 3rd April when did it deteriorate to the point that he felt he needed a "test-drive" on his wife's birthday .....

The Cummings "family farm"

https://www.express.co.uk/news/polit...parents-Durham

Dominic Cummings father Robert worked as an oil rig project manager and built oil rigs for construction firm, Laing.

His mother Morag, worked as a special needs teacher and a behavioural specialist.

The couple, now in their seventies, live on a family farm in Durham.

In August 2019, the Observer revealed the farm - of which Brexit architect Dominic Cummings is a co-owner of - received £235,000 in EU farming subsidies.
Analysis of Land Registry documents and EU subsidy databases revealed the farm in Durham has received roughly €20,000 a year for almost 20 years.

Website Farmsubsidy.org, which lists EU rural subsidies, reveals the Durham farm received almost €208,000 between 2000 and 2009.

While a separate website, operated by the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, confirmed additional payments of roughly £6,500 were made to Cummings’s parents “for practices beneficial for climate and environment” in 2017 and 2018.

A third, offline database, then revealed subsidies worth nearly £19,000 were paid out in 2014.
So, the "farm" is unlikely to be a humble smallholding .....

As neither of them have had a covid test they can deny they ever had covid. His wife vomited and thought she might pass out. That's not a covid symptom. He worked with the Prime minister so thought he may have caught it. Neither knew they had covid or had covid symptoms. He could have worked from home if his wife had a sudden tummy bug. They have family in London but his excuse was that their house was too dangerous...yet they live there the rest of the time? The loophole relating to a child's health in the regulations is apparently one put in place in cases of child abuse and neglect.

He drove all the way to Durham non stop having had the foresight to have filled up his tank with enough petrol for such a trip in advance of being worried he had covid... the next day waking up in Durham he suddenly had full blown covid, having been well enough to drive the day before.

His wife who had been sick with Covid two days earlier went to hospital in an ambulance with their child. He drove to hospital the next day 3rd April to pick them both up despite the fact that he was at this point seriously ill with covid.(is there CCTV of him in the car at the hospital? ).

He then needed to test his eyesight by driving again on 12th April to Barnard Castle, by strange coincidence his wife's birthday. Apparently you cannot test your eyesight other than by driving 30 miles somewhere stopping and driving back. According to the statement it was also necessary to get out and sit by the river there for fifteen mins. He, his wife and child got out of the car in some woods on the way home. The wife and son played for a bit and he got out to join them. The child went to the loo. They saw people in the woods.

They drove back to London on 13th April. To the very dangerous property they have since been living in.

If this isn't swiss cheese then it's time some of you went to specsavers!

This particular "incident", if verifiable, is absolutely damning .....

The child, who had been driven out of "danger" fell into it while "isolating" remotely - what was he suffering from that required ambulance attandance ..... ?

The mother, who was, allegedly, infected with COVID-19, was well enough to accompany the child to hospital - were the ambulance and hospital aware of her condition and permitted to prepare themselves ..... ?

The father, who was, allegedly, infected with COVID-19 and at death's door, was well enough to drive to the hospital and collect the child - was the hospital aware of his condition and permitted to prepare itself ..... ?

So many people would have been put at risk during this "incident" .....

Lots of hysteria on this thread now.

Must be because nobody cares about it anymore except the losers. Cummings gave his explanation which seemed reasonable while the haters get crazier by the day.

Its boring now, people want to talk about serious matters

They really don’t need to say anything at all while the Tori’s dig themselves deeper into this hole . Or maybe they have all been visiting their parents on the QT too.
