Can't see this working

With regard to the reopening of high street shops.

Minister for the Cabinet Office Michael Gove said shoppers would need to “exercise restraint” by not trying on clothing and testing goods ahead of purchase.

I've always thought this would be a problem...Do the powers that be really think a woman will buy a coat or shoes without trying them on first?
Even over the net thousands of wrong size items are returned every day.

Speaking as a man, I might buy a pair of jeans without 1st trying them on , but I'd never buy a pair of shoes without trying them on 1st.

Well bakerman, with the lockdown, and all the exercise folks are supposed to be doing, theoretically, one could buy a pair of Jeans, and make themselves fit them, same can't be said for a pair of shoes though!

I also heard mention during a discussion on radio 4 that we should refrain from touching clothes , clothes hangers and over handling items . We women love to touch and feel, pick up put back , carry around then either purchase or change our mind . How on earth will we buy clothes !

Dont know what to think really. But we have to get the economy going again

Re: Can't see this working

I bought some new clothes from Asda the other day and wasn't allowed to try them on, brought them home, hated them once tried on and took them back. Its wierd how some clothes look much better on the hanger than once hung onthe body!
