Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Well I'm back in touch with the world at last. Lightning strike on the BT cables on top of the hill on Sunday 9th and our phones and internet were gone in a flash. Phones repaired this Monday and internet (new hub) just a couple of hours ago. Didn't realise how much I would miss the internet! and as for not having a phone, 'twas a nightmare. Was reduced to sitting in the car on top of the hill to make urgent calls. However, not much damage to the house, just a chimney suffered somewhat and no injury to life or limb, so we are counting our blessings. Lovely to see a little sunshine this afternoon, but somehow I don't think it's going to last. Glad to hear you are both well as can be expected

Nice to hear from you Sue,glad you're now sorted with your technology.
Been ruthlessly sorting things out the last couple of days-charity shop here I come.Things I've been keeping for years for sentimental reasons but I know after my day the family won't want them.
Have a good day.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

I've just taken a load of books to the surgery for them to sell and raise money for (I think) a school in the Philipines. Have loads more to get rid of though! I know what will happen when I pop my clogs, the skip will be outside the door and my boys will be hurling everything into it - so no point in me keeping things for sentiment's sake!

Another horrid day and the wind is wild. Glad to be indoors.

Its not too bad here, just gloomy. Lots of people walking on the beach , I'm happy to be sat here watching them.
Daughter is calling down later so I've sorted out my recycling so she can take it to bins for me
Glad you are sorted out Sue

Gutted! Deaf from all the shouting! Must remember to take hearing aids out before sharing the experience with family!

Went to Church this morning - St. Michael's Bryngwyn - second highest Church in Wales - you should have heard the wind howling round there. Getting thoroughly fed up with this weather. My snowdrops are gorgeous, but I've hardly had a chance to walk up the road to look at them. Amazed how the daffs have grown.

Bet you've got some waves at Caswell Jac.
