Battened down the hatches here in Shropshire too. I always worry as we surrounded by trees, some of them really tall. When we get storms they always tend to be leaning towards us, never away!.Take care everyone. Hope they are wrong with the potential for structural damage, transport cancelled, power cuts etc.
Got my candles and torches ready just in case.
More worried if a power cut, won't be able to have my electric blanket on!!!!! Brrr.

- Some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs expected
- Longer journey times and cancellations, as road, rail, air and ferry services affected
- Some roads and bridges closed
- Power cuts with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage
- Injuries and danger to life from large waves and beach material being thrown onto sea fronts, coastal roads and properties
