Re: Storm Dennis.

Having just had 2 ridge tiles replaced on the roof yesterday I now have water coming through the kitchen ceiling

Repeat to myself ' I will not get stressed about this I will stay calm ''.

I think the leak originates from the window on the landing, water is getting behind the lead flashing.

Re: Storm Dennis.

With driving rain like this the wind will force water into almost anywhere.

Is this any use? It's all the flood warning areas.

Oh dear, I'm so sorry Meg.
I have a good idea how you must be feeling as I had to have a new roof put on my kitchen extension a couple of weeks back, had no end of trouble with it.
Then lo and behold, I had another leak from some cracked roof tiles and the rain all came through my living room ceiling!

I hope you can get it fixed quickly, it's a worry isn't it.

Commiserations Mups I am ignoring it for the moment, one encounter with builders this month is all I can take ...

Last time this happened I was told it was caused by the flat roof so I had a new one fitted and the leak continued.
Another builder said it was caused by the cladding under the landing window and replacing that stoped the leak.

I find having strange men here very stressful these days...

It's going to be another sleepless night by the sound of it. Hope that there are no surprises in the morning for anyone here!

Re: Storm Dennis.

It's been raining heavily and constantly for the last ten hours or so. Heaven only knows what flooding there will be this time. It was bad enough in 2015 but this time it seems to be worse.
