Another Cuban Missile Crisis?

With shades of the Cuban Missile Crisis, the US has paved the way to place missiles in Europe. For those who can remember back to 1962, after the US placed missiles in Europe and Turkey within striking distance of the then USSR and Moscow, Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev sent ships with nuclear missiles on board to Cuba.

After a humiliating defeat of a US invasion of Cuba, Fidel Castro authorised the construction of missile silos as a deterrent to any further attacks by the US. The missiles on board the Soviet fleet were to be installed in those silos but a blockade by the US navy prevented the Soviet fleet from doing so. Never had the threat of all-out nuclear war been so close. Luckily, common sense prevailed and the Soviet fleet returned home.

This report seems to echo the deployment of the US missiles on European soil raising alarm bells once again.

Re: Another Cuban Missile Crisis?

I would be willing to bet that Trump will be happy to remove the missiles along with American troops. Putin speaks Trump jump.
