Yes but my point was that people are innocently posting pictures of their children and giving away a lot of information.

Thanks for putting me right on that Tregonsee, as you realised I hadn't thought of it in quite that way. Seeing what you meant now, I wonder how many people realise about metadata and that it's on photographs, without them having to do anything?

There will always be 'experts' who for whatever reason will offer their services to criminals and those wanting to avoid the law. Gunsmiths turning deactivated weapons (legal to own) back into fully active guns again (illegal). It was disgruntled ex-sky employees who gave hackers the information they needed to crack the security features of the sky viewing cards so people could watch scrambled movies for nothing. DVD player region lock information was given to hackers by ex-employees working for DVD manufacturers. It would be no different if child pornography pictures and videos had embedded security features so the pictures and videos could be tracked, an employee would leak the information out on how to remove the security features.
