Google removing British Users from the EU's Data Protection Laws.

Looks like all British people with Google accounts will soon be coming out of the EU Data Protection Rules and going under the U.S. Data Protection Laws instead. This is appaarently due to Google being based in Southern Ireland, who are of course part of the EU. The reason they give is because once we have left, it could prove very difficult to gain the data required from the EU in the event of criminal cases.

I agree Bread. Strip everything where we take rules and regulations from the EU. We will take our chances.

It's called making it on our own, fault or favour.

Real brexiters knew this since 2017. It's just another thing they chose for (at least those who knew what they were voting for )

Not particularly. Considering that we are spied upon by our own governments and our data is used by any Tom, Dick, or Harry who requests it, it won't make a blind bit of difference.

I can live with that.

Only those that access Jihadi sites or Paedo sites need worry or people who google 'How To Dispose of A Body' before killing their spouse or 'How To Stop Brexit; before trying to kill Democracy!!

Will it be easier to find out the real identity of those posting on this forum?

Considering the internet was invented by the USA and the world wide web by the UK I think we are in good shape.
