I had that one about my Microsoft Windows and there was a problem with my computer. I kept him going for quite a while. (When I am playing with them they are not bothering someone else). Funny. When I mentioned that it was a scam, he rang off.10-10-2020, 09:44 AM

I don't know whether it's because I keep blocking their numbers. that they keep pestering me with different ones, like it's a challenge to them, that I won't play ball. Had another this morning, straight into the blocked list. Hopefully they'll run out of numbers!

I had a call yesterday and, expecting a genuine call, picked up the phone.The voice asked, "Is that Mr ****?" (Wrong surname).
As usual, I asked, "Who's calling, please?" To which the caller hung up. Didn't even bother to try to convince me he was calling from a genuine company.
Of course, I'd never tell them my name, as it would only add to their list of potential victims.

I have found the same John. Block one number and they just use another one. Swines, aren't they.

I don't often applaud TalkTalk, but in the topic of scam calls they have a system that has worked well for me.If somebody calls from a new number they are told to say who they are & I then have the option to press
1.... if I want to accept calls from this person,
2.... if I don't know who they are but just want to accept this call to find out
3.... if i wont accept the call, and they are prevented from calling again.
Since this system was set up, maybe 2 years ago, I have nit had any scam calls or people trying to sell me things, so when I have to answer the phone it is always somebody I want to speak to or it is something important!
