Re: What A Loss (?)

Well, I am truly lost for words where Harry and Meghan are concerned with their selfish declaration for independance.!
It’s hard to believe that it is less than 2 years since the British people welcomed and took Meghan to their hearts as we watched them get married. So little time has passed but their selfish outlook now has changed all that!

I’m afraid I no longer have the time of day for this pair of complaining whingers who now think they can have their cake and eat it. ‘’No amount of pontificating about honouring their duty to the Queen etc will wash with most people now after the disgraceful way he has treated his grandmother, the Queen,Prince Phillip, Prince Charles and especially his own brother Prince William. Is it any wonder they are all incandescent with rage when they only learned of Harry’s betrayal via the Newspapers.

What a pair of money-grubbers they have made themselves look.! They say they want to keep Frogmore Cottage (plus all its renovations)courtesy of the British taxpayer, just so they have a bolt hole here when they deign to spend six months of the year here. (how noble of them). They also fully expect the British taxpayer to pay for the security that will be needed for their cake and eat it careers in Canada or New York.Plus they want to keep their Royal titles???

Bluddy Cheek! If they are whinging that they want to be financially independent and resign from Royal duties, good for them, but being financially independent means just that, no more freebies courtesy of us. Take his suitcases, his wife and child, and just go! He would at least gain some respect if he did, instead of people like me resenting both of them for their total disrespect, their constant carping of how unfair life is and trying to manipulate the media.

Not a drop of sympathy left. What a shallow pair of wallies. Good riddance to them and we want our money back before you go!.

If my post sounds venomous, so be it. The monies paid for the Royal wedding, Frogmore Cottage, their security, their many overseas jaunts, in fact, their luxury lifestyle, could have paid for many more buildings for charities such as Help for Heroes and the like.

Tirade over.

The royalsussex brand includes pencils, bookmarks ..
Not your average royal keepsake then.

It's all a bit tacky and brings back memories years ago of the Middleton in-laws who were criticised for been opportunists trading on their royal connection by selling tatty merchandise.

How can they trademark royalsussex when they're stepping back from royalty and all it stands for?
It does have a whiff of mercenary moneygrabbing.
They're either royal or they're not.
They can't have it both ways.
A true break would mean jettisoning his title, except that's their brand name now.

Meghan must be bored, that's it. She wants to be back amongst her fans. Perhaps she likes the limelight in her own right. As part of the royals she's rather overshadowed. Harry might become a house husband, totting up monthly invoices from royalsussex... an ex-royal dressed up as a privileged 'ordinary person' or top draw celebrity.

Will anyone miss them ... I doubt it.
Big decision for them though and hope they can make it work.

Cooee! Harry, Meghan ...get yourselves on Dragon's Den.

I hope that Ginge comes to his senses and gets rid of that awful thing he married and this initiates the dissolution of the whole farce that is the "royal" family.

I won't say a word about the Queen. She has led a faultless reign and I am proud of how she has carried out her duties without comment or complaint.
Princess Anne does a sterling job as well. Hopefully, William and Kate will eventually become the same. They are off to a fine start anyway.
There is nothing wrong with the senior Royal family. It's just the occasional bad apple that falls from the tree.

Re: What A Loss (?)

I have no problem with their decision,( if you can call it that) only
with the manner in which they announced it?
Surely before going public they could have called a board meeting
with the other directors to discuss their plans before giving a press
release?
Another thing l take issue with is the way they have been keeping
Archie away from contact with his grandmother since he was born?
And now are going to whisk him away again directly after an
extended spell away from england?l must say Megan looks ecstatic
about making the announcement, but lm not sure whether it is
from joy or triumph??
At least we know who wears the trousers now!

Re: What A Loss (?)

It seems unfair, whipped up by the media as usual, that their decision is being blamed on Meghan.
Harry is a man in his mid thirties, who has fought in Afghanistan, a father and champion of charities.
Why are so many portraying him as some poor sap who isn't capable of making his own decisions.
The whole royalty thing is an anachronism, who can blame them for wanting a more normal life for themselves and their child.

I don't believe that's what they want. They want to take Hollywood.
