Guess it depends what industry your in. Can honestly say that during my quarter of a century working in schools, all but two sessions were of interest whatsoever (I really am able to read powerpoints containing negligible useful information within a few minutes and don't need someone to read out loud for me!!), and I don't recall any of them making me a better practitioner.
