Of all the 257 listed countries of the world, Wales, Scotland and England do not appear individually...however the Isle of Man does !!!
The true countries of Great Britain are all lumped together and appear on the list as the United Kingdom.
Interesting.... http://www.listofcountriesoftheworld.com
Like it or lump it, I think that most of the world sees the whole of the UK (UnitedKingdom) as one country.
Most countries, however small, have some sort of Defence Force and Head of State of their very own.
Is there a Welsh Navy or a Scottish Airforce (not subject to orders from England) ?
Has Wales or Scotland got its own Monarch or President ?
And this from an Aussie whose paternal grandparents were Scots and maternal grandies were Irish .
Probably because the Isle of Man has it's own Tynwald government which is very strict and stands alone from the rest. Although it does belong to England.
