Re: coins

I have stacks of 'old' money, including half crowns, florins, three penny joeys and pennies galore. I also have a fourpenny piece.

Re: coins

I know a lot more about Queen Victoria stamps from 1840 when the Penny Black was introduced (Have a few, different printings and shades).

The QV 1882 £5 ORANGE Fine Use Example. SG137 I put on here. What was £5 worth in 1882? While listed as a postage stamp it was mainly a whisky tax stamp.
Problem with both hobbies you need deep pockets unless you collect basic themes.
Collection cigarette card sets however is very cheap and subjects interesting. Like dogs, trains, flowers, film stars all can be purchases in mint condition for less than a fiver. Nice cards.
Have a worn 1877 penny but think it not the rare one, then perhaps.
