Nick Drake

I'm a huge fan of Nick Drake ...

... and his brick wall.

His acoustic guitar along with a chamber string ensemble

in a psychedelic era.

Timeless & Priceless.

I have to be honest and say I have not heard of Nick drake but just listened to those two vids and I like it. Love the guitar work.

Love the guitar work.
Self-taught, he achieved his guitar style through the use of alternative tunings to create cluster chords. These are difficult to achieve on a guitar using standard tuning; Drake used tunings which made cluster chords available using more conventional chord shapes. In many songs he accents the dissonant effect of such non-standard tunings through his vocal melodies.

What a shame he died so young. He was obviously very talented. Those cluster chords sound evil, bad enough using standard chords.
