Sue Lyon RIP
Sue Lyon, the young actress who gained notoriety in Stanley Kubrick's film Lolita opposite James Mason, has died at the age of 73. She was 14 years old at the time and was given an award for the most promising newcomer.Sadly, the rest of her career didn't live up to expectations. She only got minor roles, the last one being in the gore-fest film alligator.
Her private life wasn't much better, after a string of disastrous marriages, one to a convicted murderer, (Cotton Adamson) her career nose-dived. She blamed her failed career on her marriage to Adamson.

I wasn't allowed to see it when it came out but saw some of it on tv a few years ago , I didn't watch it all but interesting thanks. We've just seen the TV news but it did mention the Monty python writer. At least I remembered the Ruttles on tv in the seventies. I think I remember the name was to do with Rutland Weekend Television?
