I was reading this morning, in today's MoS, that it was Jezza Corbin who put Bercow up for a Peerage but Boris turned him down. If Bercow HAD been granted a Lordship, he would have had to, by convention, sit as a cross-bencher with no political affiliation.20-06-2021, 07:48 PM
