Re: Handwriting

In my desk drawer, I have 3 or 4 fountain pens. But no ink. I wonder if a person can still buy ink. I would love to try them again after all these years...

Yours is very neat, Rhian, just as a teacher's should be!
I don't think it is particularly neat but I do try to make it legible when marking!
I would love to see your fountain pen handwriting Tabs
Mine actually gets worse with ink pens
I do a deliberately spidery font in books sometimes if I have to use a fineline or similar

Yes, you can still buy Quink and inks of various colours if you are feeling extravagant.

Thanks Longdogs, I think I will get some soon. Would love to see what it is like. I know I used it when I was young, but just can't remember. The pens are in excellent condition.....

Thanks Rhian, I am going to try it. I don't know how to use cartridges I would need bottles, and these pens get dipped in ink. They are very old.

Re: Handwriting

Hi, Rhian, this is actually a timely subject for me as our schools are considering removing handwriting from the curriculum outside of quick instruction, with practice only being done at home.

I am left-handed, so my handwriting has always looked a little messy on close inspection. I can't use traditional fountain pens for the smearing....
