I didn't know about the Americans burning old flags. Nevertheless, I respect their traditions.

On the other hand, I prefer our tradition (and, I believe, that of other European countries) of hanging old and often tattered flags in churches or cathedrals. At least, I think that's what is done, or perhaps used to be done in the past.

I believe there is something atmospheric to see such flags used in that way as a memento, and that it shows respect for the men of the units represented by those flags.

Nothing wrong with that either. I hadn't heard that tradition. Thank you for the lesson, sincerely.
