Re: If you had the time to travel around the country

I have visited many places
And I agree that the UK is one of the most diverse and scenic of any country in Europe
I have never been to any part of Ireland though
And I only travelled through Newcastle not stopped there.
I hanker to go back there, as just seeing the Angel of the North from the car was gobsmacking. I want to stand in its shadow and be physically awed!

I can highly recommend most parts of Wales
But not Rhyl

Re: If you had the time to travel around the country

What I would like to do is, buy a motor home and travel around Britain’s coastline, staying where I want when I want, to be completely self contained just having to buy the essentials, if I really liked some place I could stay a bit longer, of course, I would pop in to the nearest, off member, for a cup of tea, and whatever they had been baking that morning...

I will put my travel plans up later.
See if I can meet any of you.
Or at least you can hide.

Sweetie, you live in one of my favourite counties, love Dorset, and would move there in a heartbeat 💗

You would be welcome in my home.
I am travelling up North this Summer.
So I suggest anyone there to lock your doors.

Re: If you had the time to travel around the country

I suppose it depends on what you want.
I grew up in the hills in Scotland. This me doing my dwarf impression...

It gives a bit of an impression of what it was like.
Later on I was a student in Edinburgh, the Athens of the North.

I'm not a city person but, of all those I have been to, Edinburgh tops the list. And not just because I am a Scot.
The Castle, Princess Street Gardens, the Scott monument, Arthur's Seat and so much more......
