“The Editor’s decision is final”
All newspaper readers and doers of published competitions know that only too well. I lost out on a “Spot the Ball” competition by a fraction of a pixel, it should have been a dead-heat, but the Editors decision is final and the £500 went to the other fella.

Compliant, that is another one of those words it is difficult to staple to a post.

Frequently & after too, I can't spell & I get the wrong people's names for the post I am posting about. Plus I often hit the wrong key so it doesn't make sense. I hate texting too.

Something pops in my head, I hit the reply box, quickly type my thoughts, hit the post reply, then look at it to see if it took. Many times, my fingers missed a key, so I have to go back in anyway and edit/fix sp. Otherwise, said mistake glares at me and I can't sleep at night thinking I didn't fix it.

Ed the Duck! Remember him? I wonder if he's still alive?!

I get very cross when I notice a mistake in my posts when it's too late to edit.
(My Nobel mistake drives me nuts)

As a genuine editor in my former working life, I edited regularly for over 12 years!

Old habits die hard, this one is no exception.

Just don't get me started on useless spell checkers and the use of apostrophes!
