Hi OFFers. Brilliant sun here, but windy and unseasonably chilly, 6 (42F) degrees. But still no frost! Had to wear gloves for the first time since Spring, sigh. To the bank and market, nothing special on the agenda for the rest of the day.

Mags, so sorry to hear you're poorly, healing vibes coming. Do take it very easy. Meg, love the smell of baking bread: I used to bake a lot until Whole Foods opened near me and I am tempted by all their lovely artisan breads...getting lazy in my old age! The weather sounds rather yucky there, hopefully it will keep the firecracker noise less over the weekend. DM, sorry you're poorly and grumpy...you're entitled!

Oh Mags, . . I know how you feel, . . back pain is like toothache, . . have you tried heat ?

Fay is bothered occasionally with her back and a hot water bottle gives her a bit of relief.

I use a Scholls heat and massage back cushion, Nero - I think may try a HW bottle though to get a bigger area of heat into it.

I swear by a good old fashioned hot water bottle when I have back pain. Works for me.
