Re: Letters

When you get the post do you ;_
a] put your thumb under the flap and tear open
b] Use a letter opener.
I can"t bear
the former , don"t know why , it just bugs me .

Re: Letters

Most letters go straight into the recycling anyway, cant be bothered with pfaffing about so they get a thumb under the flap and sorted into keep or bin all in 10 seconds flat!

But I try to move it so the flap opens where the glued bits are

Re: Letters

I have one of those letter knives but always forget to use it! I always think, very 'precise' people usually use a knife opener!
I just slide my thumb underneath and along but usually end up tearing the envelope and sometimes, even the letter contained in the envelope!
Apricot, do you want to know about when l send a letter too?
I never lick an envelope as sometimes they cut your lip and l don't like the taste of the adhesive!
Instead, l spit on, or wet my finger and dab it on the glued bit!
When l post the letter, l always check l have put the correct address on and that the stamp is secure!
Anything else you want to know? Please feel free to ask!!
