Shouting offensive words is the only ammunition poor old BJ has

The opposition is pulling his strings and making him dance to their tune like a Pelham puppet

Today they wouldn’t even give him time off for his part conference and they’ll keep on playing him until the threat of s no deal Brexit disappears or he resigns

Meanwhile his mates who’ve shorted the pound are looking on in utter horror as the pound is rising

Re: We will never leave (Benn's bill)

Well it looks like John Major has sussed Boris's masterplan

Brexit LIVE: Boris Johnson's plan to force through no deal revealed by furious John Major

https://www.express.co.uk/news/polit...neral-election

"The former Prime Minister accused Mr Johnson planning to exploit a loophole to bypass the law and force through a no-deal Brexit. He added the Tory party will use a piece of legal "chicanery" to bypass the rebel Bill forcing him to go for an extension to the October 31 deadline. Mr Major also said Mr Johnson will be able to say he will leave the EU on that date despite the Commons passing an Act forcing him to extend if there is no-deal by that time"

"In a speech on Thursday, Mr Major explainedhow opponents fear Downing Street will use this loophole to ignore the law and the will of parliament.

He said: "My fear is that the Government will seek to bypass Statute Law, by passing an Order of Council to suspend the Act until after 31 October.

"It is important to note that an Order of Council can be passed by Privy Councillors - that is Government Ministers - without involving The Queen."”

Major added: "I should warn the Prime Minister that - if this route is taken - it will be in flagrant defiance of Parliament and utterly disrespectful to the Supreme Court.
"It would be a piece of political chicanery that no-one should ever forgive or forget."

Go Boris !

Re: We will never leave (Benn's bill)

If the Supreme Court wanted proof that the case against prorogation brought by John Major and the other one (can't bear to mention her name)was political , they certainly have the proof now.

Maybe someone else could take it back to the Supreme Court to prove it was a political stunt to stop Brexit.

I wonder what he'll come up with next ? .... Sometimes I feel the older these guys get the more twisted they get. Power that they are losing bit by bit, but trying to cling on to any particle that might give them recognition. Too many old crocks in high and mighty positions.

If they manage to bring about too many changes to the constitution, they may just end up doing themselves out of a job. i.e. the HOL's being null and void .

Go Boris !
Remember that Major got us into this mess to start with by signing the Maastricht Treaty without putting it to a people's vote so he's just protecting his 'baby'.
