I agree. I have tried watching the new series and it is rubbish in comparison. The characters all look like Elsa from Frozen.

I got a present of Muffin when I was about 6ish.

Was sad when I found he had strings I had to play with him.

Put him in the dust bin.

You silly man, wish I had kept mine, parent gave him to my cousins to wreck. Saw one at an Antique & collectables fair, he was £50. No I didn't buy him.

Riders of the Range
In Town Tonight

TV I was allowed to watch -

Wagon Train
Rawhide
Lawman
Quatermass - all of them
Crown Court
The Verdict is Yours
Z Cars
Cheyenne
Bonanza

We didn't have a television until I left school as Dad thought it would interfere with school work. I never saw any of the young children's programmes but made up for it when I had my own children.

ST I was a fan of Dick Barton too ..... all the children by me used to disappear indoors at 6.45pm to listen to it.

We had our first TV in 1952. I listened to all those radio programs too & Mrs. Dales Diary & Womans Hour, though that was for my Mum rather than me.

I've never forgiven the BBC for dropping Dick Barton for the mind numbing Archers, FFS!
