Morning person or night owl

Are you a morning person or a night person? And, if you’re in a relationship, how does it match up to your partner?

Night owl, complete opposite to Mrs LD so we meet somewhere in the middle. I rarely go to bed before 11:30, despite having to get up at 5:30 on certain days of the week. When I was single, I was always up until 2 in the morning.

I never go to bed before midnight, in the last several months I don't get up early either, around 8.30 to 9.30 a.m.

I'm generally more of a night owl. I am crap at sleeping so can sometimes lie awake from 4. Have to read before I can go to sleep and sometimes might be reading till way after 2. No wonder I get grumpy

Re: Morning person or night owl

I'm an early bird in my old age, go to bed at 8 or 9, read for an hour, and I'm up with the lark.

Well, I'm not really up, I'm in bed watching TV, sending emails on my laptop. Mrs d brings breakfast. We sleep in separate rooms, but always start the night and finish the night in the same bed. Mrs d is insomniac and will watch TV half the night in her boudoir.

Re: Morning person or night owl

I’m neither. Dog and I prepare for bed about 9. Out for a walk or outside for her to wee, and by 9.30, 9.45 we could be in bed, me to read for a short while. I like to wake up naturally in the mornings and hate having to set an alarm. Could get up about 7.30, 8, good enough for me. Might be awake earlier, go downstairs and make a coffee, take back to bed, then stay there a bit longer.
