Receiving/passing on stolen goods - I was only inside for 6 months. A long time ago now.

Not always .... though granted, it depends on what anyone considers 'serious'. Some think just breaking the Law is serious enough.

I think that anyone who ends up in prison for a crime they have actually committed is beneath contempt. I could never have anything more to do with them, and that would include members of my own family. If that sounds harsh, TOUGH.

For myself I admire him for posting, takes a lot of courage to come out with stuff like that, dont think I wouldve done so.

Well, I'm not sure I'd have owned up on a forum in case it draws unfavourable judgement.
I've known guys who did time for GBH, possession of arms, drugs, vandalising and opening graves and murder (not in graves) so personally I don't think you're in their league of despicable cretins. An episode in your past. Gone. History.

I know I would not cope at all well in prison.

I wouldn't cope with being shut away.
I wouldn't cope without my dogs.
I wouldn't cope away from my home.
And I'd never cope being surrounded by violent people.

All in all, I'd best behave myself hadn't I.
