When I retired it took me ages to stop waking at 4.30am but now I wake at 6.30am to get up about 7 to 7.30am and I go to bed about midnight. That seems to suit me best at the moment but not sure if that makes me an early bird or night owl.
It’s interesting how work influenced your sleeping habits. I’ve never had to work shifts. Different insight - thanks for that. To me you sound as if you could be either a morning person or a night owl. Sleep doesn’t rule you, you rule sleep! You’re the Chuck Norris of sleep!

Re: Morning person or night owl

I'm a night person but not too late to bed. Bedtime is around midnight. I tend to lay in until about 8 a.m. I'm often a poor sleeper in the night hours and find I can catch up on sleep a little between 6.30 - 8.00 a.m.

When I was working from home, I'd often be at the repairs bench at 2.00 a.m or some other unearthly hour.

Not really, I tend to wake up at least twice to go to the loo. Usually around 3/3.30 a.m & again about 6 a.m. I know if I got up earlier I'd wake earlier, but don't see the point when I'm not going anywhere.

I tend to come here early mornings I'm not sure why because I don't go to bed until quite late...around midnight. Im usually awake by 6am so I come here ....thinking about it probably because its quiet.
